Heeeeeello!

What’s up everyone?

I’ve got so many cool stories about new projects to share with you but I can’t do it yet, so in the meanwhile I hope you’re ready for part 2 of my previous article, featuring my first photo session with beautiful model Danil Polanco!

I have a soft spot in my heart for anything sea-related, so maybe I’m way too biased when saying I love these captures so much! But still! There is such a beautiful melancholy about these, Danny’s natural beauty, her poses and expressions, the blurred sea as a background and the simplicity of the whole scene!

No make-up or hairstyle or styling, plus take into account that this was literally the first time we ever met! I love it when I can connect with a model so fast and they confidently pose for me in a matter of seconds!

I’m telling you, this girl is going places and I deeply hope she will cause’ she deserves it!

Definitely will be shooting more stories close to the seaside – already have a bunch of ideas buzzing in my mind, but I’m waiting for the right time to bring them to life!

Hope you’ll love these captures as much as I do! Enjoy!

What’s up everyone?

Ready for some summery, palm trees themed captures from sunny Barcelona? (well, not sunny right now as I’m typing this, on the contrary, it’s cold and dark and raining and I just want to cuddle under a warm blanket and cry.. ok, I’m diverting…).

Back to the story!

A couple of weeks ago I got the awesome opportunity to photograph beautiful model Danny, whom I met quite by chance to be honest: via Instagram. After all these years of being on Facebook and Instagram and I still can’t wrap my head about how powerful these networks are and how great they can be for making new connections!

So I basically noticed her while randomly checking my Instagram one day, saw her photos and immediately knew I wanted to have her beauty in my portfolio. Imagine how happy I was when she said yes!

We got together one warm and sunny afternoon for a quick test photo shoot close to the seaside, in an area with fat tiny palm trees (I always call them pineapples) because I wanted to include an exotic background in my portfolio too (I’m in Barcelona after all, I have to show it!).

It was such a pleasure to photograph Danny, as she didn’t need much posing direction or indications. Everything fell smoothly into place, without much planning going into it beforehand: the location, her natural beauty, the sunset light, the outfit (loving that knitwear top!)… I’m so happy with the outcome!

Those who know me, know that most of my “quick” photoshoots are not really that quick and can easily take more time than expected, as I often have new ideas popping up during the session, depending on how inspired I feel in that moment. So duh, I convinced Danny to switch locations after this set and moved to a different place where we caught the last evening light..

..but that’s for part 2 of the article 😉

Until then, enjoy the first set!

#inmystudio • Teodora

Hola!

What’s up everyone?

Today I’m sharing you with you an older photoshoot (well, not THAT old, but still – it’s been a few months already), featuring beautiful Teodora in my natural light studio. This was actually the last photo session I got to do in Oradea, before taking off for Barcelona, back at the beginning of June.

Due to the chaos of moving to a new city, meeting new people and doing new photo sessions here, only recently I got to finish polishing this series. However, I do believe it was worth the wait!

I had a really fun time photographing Teodora, testing the gorgeous natural light and playing with outfits, accessories, poses and expressions. No professional makeup or hairstyle or styling, this was more like a polaroid kind of shoot, focusing on showing the model’s beauty, posing & expression.

This would be the 3rd photoshoot from my #inmystudio series (first one was the one with Damaris  here (part 1) and here (part 2) and the 2nd one was with Manuela here) and I really grew to love doing these natural light, simple test shoots so I’m definitely looking forward to continuing it with new models! So yeah, send me a message if you’re a model and would like to be a part of this series! 😉

Ok, I won’t keep you any longer now! Enjoy the photos and see you next time!

And don’t forget to subscribe below to be updated with all the important stuff going on 🙂

What’s up everyone?

Tell me what have you been working on lately?

It’s Friday evening at the time of writing this post, around 11 o’clock already (but I haven’t decided when I’m going to schedule this article yet, hehe), I’m accompanied by a glass of homemade tinto de verano (because that’s how I roll!) and writing my second blog article today just because I’m feeling so inspired suddenly!

It’s funny how inspiration works, isn’t it? It strikes you at the most random and unexpected times and in between these moments it leaves you completely on your own without any remorse. You have to put in the hard work and sometimes a lot of effort to just keep going on and “create inspiration” out of nothing.

Because you can’t just stop and wait for the next strike, can you?

I learnt the hard way that waiting for inspiration is useless and it plain sucks. You just have to keep going and get sh*t done.. inspiration will follow. The lows can be disheartening at times, but the highs feel so rewarding.

Anyway, enough with the motivational stuff for today! I’ve got prettier things to share with you, more specifically: the second part of my photo session with talented Ana Lendl in Barcelona!

I already wrote about the context and the story in the previous article featuring the first part of the set (as in, a few hours ago, but you’ll read this a few days apart – because yes, I can do that!), so today I won’t keep you long with my ramblings and get straight to the photos!

Enjoy!

P.S. Scroll down to the end for a couple of behind the scenes too in case you missed them previously on instagram! 😉

Hola! What’s up everyone?

I’m happy to share with you today the first set from my photo session with beautiful model Ana Lendl a few weeks ago in Barcelona!

Ana is from Vienna and I was following her instagram for quite a while already, hoping that maybe one day when I find myself in her city I’ll get the chance to photograph her beauty. Guess what? The chance arrived much earlier, when Ana announced she was heading to Barcelona!

Yaaay!

The rest is obvious: we met for a quick photoshoot in one of Barcelona’s beautiful gardens. I had an idea in mind of what I was looking for in terms of framing and posing, however, the location was so rich in picture-perfect corners that we quickly switched to another place that worked out much better with her look and which also had more pleasant lighting. Always try to have this lesson in mind: keep your eyes open, be aware of your surroundings and try to get the subject from various angles in various locations.

Ana was lovely and such a pleasure to work with! And despite her having a cold, she made it through the session with professionalism! Hats off!

Make-up was done by Ana herself and the gorgeous red dress is from Mango.

Hope you’ll enjoy the photos!

#WonderfulStories • Nathalia

I met Nathalia a few years ago while living in Sevilla, Spain and then life brought us together again a month ago in Barcelona 🙂 Funny how life works sometimes, isn’t it?

She needed a set of professional portraits right before she left Spain to pursue a greater challenge in her life. The photos were required to be serious but not stiff, rather more casual, showing of her personality in a subtle way.

I’m so proud that she trusted me as a photographer and I hope I successfully managed to express how she’s a strong and ambitious woman, yet friendly and approachable, with a warm heart.

Of course I also had her stand in a colorful flower bush by the end of our shoot – because flower obsession reasons.

I shared her story on my Wonderful Stories page, but you can read it here too. Below are her words:

“She didn’t know what these pictures were representing for me. During this shooting, she was immortalising a before and an after, the beginning of a new period for me. My new me. Nobody said it would be an easy period, but at least it is a new and challenging one, and Andreea perfectly captured the message I wanted to transmit: Hello, my name is Nathalia and I am ready to fight for my dreams, without fear. Here we go.” – Nathalia

Wishing you all the best in what’s to come, Nathalia, and hope our paths will cross again soon!

#WonderfulStories • Damaris

Hola, hola! What’s up everybody?

As you might have noticed, I finally made some free time to get back on track with the blog – so many projects I didn’t get the chance to share with you yet! One at a time, bare with me!

So back at the end of May (madre mia, is it really August already or am I dreaming!?) I had the pleasure to photograph beautiful Damaris for her 18th birthday. She’s such a sweet girl, it was a joy to take her portraits!

It’s always such a nice feeling to see a model (especially when they don’t have too much experience or any at all) transform from being a bit nervous at the beginning of the photoshoot and then gradually gaining confidence, so by the end of the session they’re relaxed and, most of the times, it’s when we get the best captures.

We went for one of my all-time favourite setups: nature, this time in the form of a gorgeous, intimate garden that gave us plenty of options to move around and alternate angles. All natural light!

The rose bush was special itself – it wasn’t actually part of the mentioned garden. We spotted it by the road in front of a block of flats, while in the car. The moment I saw it I already had the framed portrait in my head, so by the end of the session we headed back there, found it again, and got a few more captures while dealing with curious passers-by.

I’m in love with the results of this session and hope you guys like it too!

Make-up & hair were done by the talented Anamaria Demian & Florina Demian.

To mark such an important moment – turning 18 – this session wouldn’t have been complete without having the photos in print form too, to make sure they won’t get lost in the sea of digital files and to keep them forever (or gift them to loved ones). All of them came in white frame and safely guarded in a box for protection.

I always advocate for having your favourite photos printed – especially when they mark an important moment in your life. Actually, I’m looking forward to selecting and printing out my travel captures as soon as I settle in one place and have where to store them (or show them off, hehe) – the selecting process will surely be the hardest one, in order to pick the best of the best.
